Executive Bios
David Jefferson
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JNET, has more than 30 years of experience in a wide range of operating and management roles at AT&T and Comcast. Most recently, Jefferson served as Executive Vice President of Business Services for AT&T Broadband, a high growth business unit providing network and high-speed data connectivity to small and medium sized businesses. Jefferson’s management experience has provided him with a deep understanding of provisioning and purchasing the services that JNET offers. For example, Jefferson served as Vice President – Consumer Operations at AT&T where he was responsible for managing customer care and directing installation services for more than 85 million customers, representing revenues in excess of $25 billion of revenue.
Through his industry affiliations, Jefferson has established strong personal and business relationships with the senior leadership teams at major telecom and cable companies, including AT&T, Verizon, Cox Communications, Time Warner and MCI-WorldCom that will be leveraged to broaden the customer base of JNET. Further, Jefferson’s civic and community activities, including his role as Senior Pastor, Metropolitan Baptist Church (6,000 congregation) and his participation in the National Urban League, NAACP and other major community-based organizations, provide him access to potential government and corporate clients.
Michael A. Dennis
Chief Operating Officer, has nearly 25 years management experience in the communications industry. He most recently served as Group Vice President, Services at Avaya, Inc. where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of all services for Avaya’s customers. The Avaya Services Group accounts for more than 40% of that company’s total revenues. Before joining Avaya, Mr. Dennis held a number of management positions at Lucent Technologies and AT&T.
Michael Dennis has enjoyed an extraordinary career in the business arena. He comes to JNET after compiling a remarkable management track record at some of the word’s finest corporations, where he had responsibilities for profit and loss.
Eugene Caldwell
The Chief Financial Officer. Gene’s experience spans over 25 plus years. He earned his CPA at one of the largest accounting firms then called Ernst & Whinney and has since worked for several large firms.
His experience is extensive in the areas of capital financing, turnaround management, outsourcing and performance based management. He was recently the CFO of MRG (MetroMedia Restaurant Group), which is one of the largest restaurant company’s in the country including brands such as Steak & Ale, Bennigan’s and Ponderosa.
The financial and cost management discipline that he brings will be a valued compliment to David and Michael.
Susanne Schrott
The Vice President, Human Resources, has 25 years of experience in Human Resources as well as 30 plus years of experience in the telecommunications industry overall. Susanne possesses a broad scope of human resources expertise including strategic planning, staffing, recruitment, compensation, labor, organization design, process management and mergers and acquisitions.
Susanne’s most recent roles include consulting for several major companies where she established human resources policies and procedures, developed performance management programs and coached executive management on human resources practices. She has also led the design of a human resource infrastructure for an international start up company. Previous to those positions, she held many executive positions at AT&T. Her diverse background will be invaluable to JNet and it’s subsidiaries as they continue to expand and develop.
In addition to her BA from Fairleigh Dickenson University, Susanne has completed numerous Human Resources related programs and received many professional accolades in Human Resources and Leadership excellence. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource management (SHRM). She is also a trustee on the board of the Clarence Dillon Public Library where she serves as the Secretary and leads the Human Resources team.
